The AI-Mate high-fidelity virtual companion shaping platform is developed by the Key Laboratory of Intelligent Perception and Computing of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the Key Laboratory of Embedded System Technology of Shaanxi Province at Northwestern Polytechnical University, as well as the Center for Computational and Artistic Interdisciplinary Research at Northwestern Polytechnical University. The project is led by Professor Bin Guo. The platform integrates talent cultivation, scientific research, experimental verification, and industrial application, and explores the construction of a human-machine-object collaborative fusion future intelligent space. Since 2018, more than 20 teachers and graduate students have participated in the research and development tasks.
AI-Mate integrates knowledge from multiple disciplines such as artificial intelligence, anthropology, psychology, cognitive science, and social science. It innovatively features companionship, conversation, Q&A, guidance, and collective intelligence. It has broken through core technologies such as accurate user profiling, personalized human-computer dialogue, multimodal collective Q&A/recommendation, visual contextual perception, agile image switching, and social intelligence mining. The platform emphasizes autonomous innovation and resource sharing, and opens up key technologies/algorithms/modules/data sets to support code reuse and secondary development. Brother universities, research institutes, government enterprises are welcome to carry out in-depth cooperation to jointly promote the development of this emerging field and create an intelligent network space.
